
Korean Canadian pianist Gaeun Ban started to earn attention in 2013, when she won the Canadian Music Competition at the age of 18. She has also won top prizes at the Kiwanis Music Festival and Peel Music Festival in several different categories. Some of her major performances include solo recitals at the Steinway Hall in New York City, Guk-je Art Hall in Seoul and a performance with Napolinova orchestra in Italy.
Ban is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Boston University, along with a certificate program in Arts Administration. In addition to her professional studies, she teaches at Boston University as a teaching assistant and as a private lesson instructor at Brimmer and May School, and Kingsley Montessori School.
She holds a Performance Diploma and Master of Music degree from the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University, and Bachelor of Music degree from the New England Conservatory.
